The 513 Infantry Brigade initiated another humanitarian intervention by laying foundation stone for constructing a new house to a necessitous family in Kaddudei, Manippai, Jaffna on 09 December 2022.
513 Infantry Brigade commenced the construction of the new house for Mr. Fernando Ranushan’s family as a humanitarian project of 51 Infantry Division, coordinated by Major General Ravi Rathnasingham (Retired), financial assistance provided by Mr. Sinnadurai Senthivel (Canada) and facilitated by Modara/Mattakkuliya Lions Club on 09 December 2022. The 11th Sri Lanka Light Infantry Battalion provided the manpower and technical expertise for the construction work under the supervision of the Commander 513 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier Rizvi Razick with the guidance of General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division, Major General Mahendra Fernando.
The day's brief ceremony concluded with a distribution of dry ration packets to the beneficiaries by the Chief Guest. Commander of 513 Infantry Brigade, Colonel General Staff - 51 Division, Senior Officers, other respectable invitees and civilians attended the ceremony.
