To maintain goodwill among the Army and Tamil Community, along with the blessings and guidance of the General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, Major General Sanjeewa Fernando,7th Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment offered a special lunch and took steps to organizea programme of distributing school accessories among twenty-three students studying at Roman Catholic Tamil School, Chawakachcheri.
The programme was held under the supervision of the Commanding Officer of the 7th Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, Lt Col KGSNA Bandara RWP RSP USP. Troops of the 7th Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment, teachers and well deserved students at Roman Catholic Tamil School, participated in the event.
