Security Forces Headquarters Jaffna Celebrate 73rd Anniversary with Pride

The formal inaugurations of the series of ceremonies on account of the 73rd anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, the most admired, dedicated and fondly recognized as the “Protectors of the Nation” was held on Monday (10) at the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) premises.

The ceremony began with the hoisting of the Army Flag and the motherland was honoured reciting the Army Song. The offering of two-minute silence as a tribute to the memory of all Fallen War Heroes, who made the supreme sacrifice while defending the country’s territorial integrity was also among one of the main features in the sequence of anniversary ceremonies.

Afterwards, the reading of Army Commander’s Message on 73rd Anniversary took place amidst the troops and this was followed by planting of Herbal Tree Sapling at the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna)-Farm premises by Brigadier Dammika Karunapala RSP ndu, Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier Anura Bandara, Brigadier Admin and Quartering and Other Ranks of Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna). The proceedings of the day’s ceremonies marked the end by All Ranks lunch.
