The 513 Infantry Brigade successfully completed another humanitarian intervention once again by extending their technical, engineering and manpower support to build a new house to another underprivileged family in Chankani, Jaffna. Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) graced the house warming ceremony and handed over the keys of the new house to Mrs. Sulakshana Wijayakantha, a widowed mother with her two children on 03 October 2022.
This new house was built as per the concept of Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) Major General Chandana Wijayasundara RSP USP ndu under the guidance of General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division Major General Anil Udaya Kumara RSP USP USAWC psc. The troops belonged to 11th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry provided much - required manpower for the construction work under the supervision of the Commander 513 Infantry Brigade Colonel Rizvi Razick RSP.
This much worthy endeavour was coordinated by Major General R Rathnasinham (Retired) and Mr. Vincent Sinnadurai, who lives in Canada, sponsored this project in memory of his late mother, Mrs. JC Sinnadurai.
Simultaneously, the Commander gifted essential household items and dry rations to the family as tokens of goodwill.
