New Water Facilities Installed for Students at American Mission Tamil Mix College-Jaffna

To maintain goodwill among the Army and Tamil Community, along with the blessings of General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division Major General Sanjeewa Fernando RWP RSP ndu and the Commander 522 Infantry Brigade Colonel Chandima Kumarasingha, troops of 52 Infantry Division with the coordination of the troops of 522 Infantry Brigade took steps to establish a Water Purification Plant in order to fulfill the requirement of drinking water necessity of the students of J/VaraniIyattal American Mission Tamil Mix College (AMTM) located in the area of VaraniIyattal with the assistance of Commanding Officer, Major Ranjith Prasanna and troops of 15th Battalion Gajaba Regiment. The generous financial contribution for this project was provided by the Korea Friends of Hope International.

The Water Purification Plant was handed over to the students of J/VaraniIyattal American Mission Tamil Mix College (AMTM) in a simple ceremony by the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) Major General Chandana Wijayasundara RSP USP ndu on 28 September 2022.

General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division, Brigadier General Staff of Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna), Commander 521 Infantry Brigade, Commanding Officer 15th Battalion Gajaba Regiment, Senior Officers, Officers, troops of 52 Infantry Division and 522 Infantry Brigade, Mr. Sun Bong Choi, President of Korea Friends of Hope International, Mr. Lasitha Nanayakkara, Secretary of Korea Friends of Hope International, school teachers, students and parents were participated to the event.
