Quarter Master General and Master General Ordinance Visits Security Force (Jaffna)

As per the concept of the Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, Quarter Master General, Major General Prasanna Ranawaka and Master General Ordinance, Major General Hirosha Wanigasekara have paid a maiden visit to Security Force (Jaffna) on 05 September 2022 in order to address the prevailing issues of the Administration and Quartering matters, which falls under respective Branches.

Under the direction of the Commander, Security Force Headquarters (Jaffna), Major General Chandana Wijayasundara, the event was coordinated by the Commander, Forward Maintenance Area (North), Brigadier Clifford Zoysa accordant with Brigadier Administration and Quartering of SFHQ (J), Brigadier Anura Bandara.

With the days proceeding, Senior Officers visited the Army Base Hospital, Palaly and inspect the progress of constructions of the Hospital complex, the Kitchen and the Operation Theatre, which is to be constructed. Subsequent visits included the visit of 522 Infantry Brigade, 15 (V) Battalion of Gajaba Regiment and inspection of the Other Ranks’ Accommodation, Q Stores, Ration Stores and Cook House functions.

In continuation of the days proceeding, both Senior Officers visited the 52 Infantry Division. Main event of the program was hosted by the 52 Infantry Division with a drive pass. Afterwards, Logistics Conference presided by Quarter Master General and Master General Ordinance was then held at the Conference Hall of 52 Infantry Division with the participation of Commander Forward Maintenance Area (North), General Officer Commanding of 51, 52 and 55 Infantry Divisions, Brigadier Administration and Quarteringof SFHQ (J), Brigade Commanders, Colonelsof Admin and Quarteringand Staff Officers of relevant Headquarters.
