52 Infantry Division Commemorates 27th Anniversary

The 52 Infantry Division proudly celebrated its 27th Anniversary on 24th August 2022 marking yet another milestone. In celebration of the Anniversary, series of programmes were organized with the participation and the directions of the General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division Major General K P S A Fernando RWP RSP ndu.

In line with the celebration of 27th Anniversary Day, all the staff of the 52 Infantry Division were organized a Bodi Puja on 23rd August 2022 at 52 Infantry Division Temple.

In accordance with military traditions, the General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division graced the Anniversary Day’s celebrations on 24th August 2022 and on his arrival at the venue reviewed the Guard Turn Out, received the salute of the Guard of Honour, presented by troops of 15th Battalion Gajaba Regiment and it was followed by performance of Ritual Rites at the 52 Infantry Division Temple, group photograph, sapling of tree and troop address.

During the address, General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division recalled the vital occurrences of the history of 52 Infantry Division and commended the commitments and dedication of troops. Further, he emphasized the importance of maintaining the prevailing peaceful environment in 52 Division Area of responsibility and highlighted the proper keep up of discipline of Other Ranks and improving of Other Ranks’ welfare.

To coincide with the Anniversary Day, General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division, respective Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks attended to the All Ranks lunch where it marked the end of Anniversary Day’s proceedings.
