Bicycles and Dry Ration Packs Distributed Among Students and Needy Families in Jaffna

A provision of Bicycles for schoolings and Dry Ration Packs for underprivileged families in Jaffna were organized by the General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, under the guidance and direction of Commander Security Forces Jaffna, Major General Chandana Wijayasundara RSP USP ndu on 26th June 2022.

The ceremony of donating twenty two push bicycles worth of Rs 50000/= among School Children and Dry Ration packs worth of Rs 5000/= among fifty needy families in 523 Bde AOR were held at the Cultural Centre, Chavakachcheri and the Commander Security Forces Jaffna, Major General Chandana Wijayasundara RSP USP ndu graced the occasion as the Chief Guest together with donor Mr. Rajikaran Sanmugarathnam and General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, Major General K P S A Fernando RWP RSP ndu .

Financial contribution for this absolute donation programme was provided by Mr. Rajikaran Sanmugarathnam, a donor and the philanthropist in Jaffna who is currently resident in Canada.

This donation programme was initiated by newly appointed Jaffna Commander to enhance trust and confidence and to maintain the goodwill among Army and Tamil Community in Jaffna peninsula.

Brigade Commanders, Brigadier General Staff of Security Forces Jaffna, an Administrative Officer in Thenmaradchi Divisional Secretariat Office, Assistant Superintendent of Police, Chavakachcheri, Principal of Chavakachcheri Hindu College, Senior Officers, Staff officers of 52 Infantry Division and Staff of 523 infantry Brigade were also present at the event.
