Troops of 7th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment took steps to organized a medical clinic and distribution of essentials worth of Rs 15,000.00 among well-deserving 25 pregnant women in general area of Chavakachcheri on 06 June 2022 in order to enhance the goodwill of the Army and the Tamil community. Further, essential items which are necessary for infants also included in this donation. Generous sponsorship for this event was extended by Major IKGSN Bandara RWP RSP USP, Commanding officer and all troops of 7th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment. This programme was initiated on the guidance and close supervision of Major General Udaya Herath RWP RSP USP psc Hdmc, General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division and Colonel Subash Siriwardahna RWP RSP USP, Commander 523 Infantry Brigade.
The event held at the Cultural Centre in Chavakachcheri, was graced by General Officer Commanding - 52 Division, together Medical Officer of Health (MOH) Chavakachcheri. The community project which benefitted those pregnant women was assisted by respective Grama Seva officials who assisted in the selection families.
