Implementing the concept of extending community assistance to needy families, on instructions of Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu Commander Security Forces - Jaffna, the foundation stone was laid by General Officer Commanding - 55 Infantry Division, Brigadier Prasanna Gunaratne RSP ndu psc IG for the construction of a new house for the family of Mrs. V Wasantha Kumari (widow) of Jaffna, J/430, Uduththurei on 09 May 2022.
This program was organized by the Commanding Officer of the 12th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment under the guidance of General Officer Commanding - 55 Infantry Division. Financial contribution is provided by Major General (Retired) Ravi Rathnasinghem and troops of 12th Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment provide much needed man power for construction under the supervision of 553 Infantry Brigade.
