After assuming the duties of the General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division Brigadier HMU Herath RWP RSP USP psc Hdmc made his first formal visit to Headquarters 521 Infantry Bde at Valli and HQ 11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment at Valvettithurai on 27 April 2022.
The General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division was warmly welcomed by the Commander 521 Infantry Brigade Brigadier M M Salwatura RWP RSP USP and Commanding Officer 11 Vijabahu Infantry Regiment. A formal Guard Turnout of the 11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment troops saluted the GOC upon his arrival at the 521 Infantry Bde Premises. Afterwards, General Officer Commanding addressed officers and Other Ranks and explained his vision for the smooth conduct of affairs at the 52 Division.
Inline with the above event, 521 Infantry Brigade troops organized food distribution programme in which Rs 5000/= worth of ration packs distributed among ten deserved pregnant women in 521Bde Area of Responsibility. The programme was organized under the guidance of the Commander 521 Infantry Brigade, with the blessings of the General Officer Commanding, 52 Division.
