The 513 Infantry Brigade initiated another humanitarian intervention by donating 10 bicycles among needy school children from economically deprived families in Siththankeny area on 12 March 2022 in supported by a donor as per the CIMIC plan of 51 Infantry Division. The event was organized with the blessing of General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe.
This donation was initiated to enhance trust and confidence among military and community in order to address transportation requirement of needy school children living in Sandilippay Divisional Secretariat area as they were finding difficulty to go to school.
A simple ceremony was organized by the Commanding Officer 11 Sri Lanka Light Infantry, Lieutenant Colonel Chandana Kariyawasm and his troops at Harmony Center - Sithankeny under the supervision of Commander 513 Infantry Brigade.
The Commander 513 Infantry Brigade Colonel MR Razic RSP graced the occasion as the chief guest and senior officers, officers, other ranks, distinguished invitees, teachers, parents and school children participated for the occasion.
