A military funeral that took place on 04 March 2022 at Achchuweli Cemetery, saluted to one of the most dedicated Tamil soldier who joined the 2nd Battalion of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers from Jaffna peninsula. S/M101392 Cfn Vivek N was residing at Muthumari Amman Kovilladi, Achchuweli passed away last Thursday 3rd March 2022, due to sickness while on service having served the Army for more than 8 years.
During his tenure, heroic soldier Vivek N had shown his patriocity to our motherland and he won the heart and mind of soldiers as well as officers of 2nd and 7th Battalions of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers.
Military funeral organized under the guidance of Commander Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu and close supervision of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers and 4th Battalion of Sri Lanka Electrical and Mechanical Engineers took charge of remains of late Vivek as the funeral procession reached the Achchuweli Cemetery premises where Sri Lanka Army saluted.
Commander Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, Senior Officers of Security Forces - Jaffna and troops also participated for the military Funeral and paid last respect to Vivek.
