A stock of medical accessories, gifted to the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva by Mr Senaka Senevirathna and Sri Lankans in USA were donated to the Teaching Hospital, Jaffna on 03 January 2022.
Those aids, such as Non Medical Washable Masks, Disposable N 95 Masks, Disposable KN 95 Masks, PPE Kit Coveralls, Hand Gloves Full Hand Covers, Disposable Face Shields, Eye Goggles ect...were officially handed over to Dr. S Sribavanandarajah Deputy Director, Teaching Hospital, Jaffna by Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe, General Officer Commanding, 51 Division, representing General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army and Major General Senarathyapa, Commander, Security Forces, Jaffna. Dr C S Jamunanantha, Deputy Director, Teaching Hospital - Jaffna, Commander 512 Brigade and Staff Officers in the 51 Division participated for the programme.
