Major General Sujeewa Senarathyapa RWP RSP ndu , the newly appointed Security Forces Commander, with a view to receiving blessings of religious faiths for the first time after his assumption of duties in Jaffna on Tuesday 28 December 2021.
At first, the new Commander attended Buddhist religious observances at the Sri Naga Viharaya in the centre of Jaffna town and offered Pirikara to the chief incumbent, Ven. Meegahajandure Sri Vimaladeva Thero.
Afterwards, he met Bishop of Jaffna Diocese Rt. Rev. Dr. Justin B Gnanapragasam, Nallai Thirugnanasambanthar Adheenam, Srilasri Somasundhara Dheshika Gnasambantha Swami and received blessings.
Staff Officers of the Security Forces Jaffna and Senior Officers were also present at the occasions.
