Major General Chandana Wickramasinghe, assumed office as the 30th General Officer Commanding of the 51 Infantry Division on 27 October 2021 during a simple ceremony by adhering to military traditions and customs.
A Guard Turnout at the main entrance greeted and commenced day’s proceedings, followed by signing a formal document that signified the acceptance of new responsibilities as the General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division. The programme was conducted adhering strict COVID 19 heath guidelines.
