Troops of the Security Forces Jaffna once again extended their technical, engineering and manpower support to build a new house to another underprivileged family in Imayanan, Udupiddy after their plight was brought to the notice of Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu, Commander Security Forces Jaffna.
Mr. Kumara Weerasooriya and his colleagues who have been generous donors for a number of previous such projects offered their generosity once again by extending Financial Donation purchase of raw materials for the new house for Mrs. Selvasannadi Darshani at Udupiddy.
The new house thus built for the needy family was vested to them on Monday (18), along with a stock of essential home appliances during a simple ceremony in the gracious presence of Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) together with philanthropist Mr. Kumara Weerasooriya and Major General Mahinda Jayawardena RSP USP ndu, General Officer Commanding 55 Infantry Division.
Troops of 4th Sri Lanka Singha Regiment provided the much needed manpower for the construction work expeditiously under the supervision of Commander 551 Infantry Brigade. Brigade Commanders, Senior Officers, Government Officials and troops and well wishers witnessed the house-warming ceremony.
