Implementing the concept of extending community assistance to needy families, on instructions of Major General Jagath Kodituwakku RWP RSP ndu Commander Security Force - Jaffna, the foundation stone was laid by Commander 551 Infantry Brigade for the construction of a new house for the family of Mrs. Selvasannadi Darshani of Imayanan, Nelliadi on 11 September 2021, adhering to all Covid-19 prevention protocols.
This program was organized by the Commanding Officer of the 4th Sri Lanka Singha Regiment under the guidance of Major General M K Jayawardena RSP USP ndu, General Officer Commanding 55 Infantry Division. Financial contribution is provided by Mr Kumara Weerasooriya and troops of 4th Sri Lanka Singha Regiment provide much needed man power for construction.
Coinciding with the event, 100 packs of dry ration were also distributed to the needy families of Imayanan area.
