Religious Activities in Jaffna to Invoke Blessing on The Nation

Religious activities were conducted at the Kailasanadar Vadiwambihei Shivam Kovil in Nallur and Sri Naga Viharaya in Jaffna to invoke blessing on the nation and eradication of Covid 19 pandemic on 09 September 2021.

This meritorious deed was organized by the Staff of Security Forces Jaffna under the guidance of Commander Security Forces Jaffna, Major General Jagath Kodituwakku RWP RSP ndu on a direction received by the Head, National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) and Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) and Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc.

The first activity of the day was held at the Kailasanadar Vadiwambihei Shivam Kovil in Nallur with the participation of the Security Forces Commander and many other dignitaries. Later in evening an all night pirith chanting commenced in the presence of Major General Jagath Kodituwakku RWP RSP ndu at the Sri Naga Viharaya in Jaffna to invoke blessings on the people and eradicate Covid 19. Concluding the event, morning alms were offered to the Maha Sangha on the following day.
