The troops of 513 Infantry Brigade under 51 division of Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna engaged in supplying drinking water on the request made by general public in Maruthapuram, Kovalam, Kalabhoomi, Palavoadai and Palakadu Grama Niladari divisions of Karainagar Island using their own water bowsers on 16 and 17 August 2021.
This drinking water distribution programme was carried out by the troops of 11th battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry under the close supervision of Major General Deepal Pussella, General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division and on the direction of Commander Security Forces - Jaffna, Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu.
