One more underprivileged family in Maradankerny received a new house from the Security Force Headquarters Jaffna after their plight was brought to the notice of Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu, Commander Security Force Jaffna.
The new house handing over ceremony to Mrs. Judy Robiny Dhushanthan was held with the gracious presence of Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu, Commander Security Force Jaffna together with Major General Mahinda Jayawardena RSP USP ndu, General Officer Commanding 55 Infantry Division on Monday, 9 August 2021.
During the brief ceremony, dry ration packs and essential household items which required for this newly opened house were donated by the Commander Security Force Jaffna. Moreover, stationery items for schooling of new house were also donated for their further studies.
Financial assistance for the newly constructed house was given by the Samurdhi Development Bank, Maradankerny and troops of 10th battalion Vijayabahu Infantry Rregiment provided the much-required manpower for the construction work expeditiously under the supervision of Commander 553 Brigade.
The event was graced by Mr. K Pirabakaramurthi, Divisional Secretary - Maradankerny, Mr. TS Viswaruban, District Samurdhi Director, Brigadier General Staff of Security Force Headquarters Jaffna, Commanders 552 and 553 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Government Officials and troops who contributed to the construction.
