Major General Jagath Kodithuwakku RWP RSP ndu, who assumed duties as the 26th Commander Security Force - Jaffna, paid his maiden field visit to 52 Infantry Division Headquarters on 25 January 2021.
The Security Force Commander was warmly welcomed by the General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division. The visiting commander planted a sapling to mark his maiden visit and then made his appearance on a group photograph. Then the General Officer Commanding conducted a comprehensive briefing on area of responsibilities of 52 Infantry Division. The Security Force Commander addressed the Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and troops belong to 52 Infantry Division.
Subsequently, Security Force Commander visited the 522 Infantry Brigade. He was invited to plant a Mango sapling in the Brigade premises as a token of memory. further Security Force Commander visited the BTS at Vidaththapalai to inspect the progress of recruit training. Finally, Commander visited the 7th Battalion the Gajaba Regiment and 12th Battalion the Gemunu Watch.
Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and troops of the 52 Infantry Division participated in the series of events.
