Launching Newly Manufactured "Agri Shredder PP1" Machine by the Security Force Commander-Jaffna for the Production of Organic Fertilizer Project

The machine which is required to produce organic fertilizer was handed-over to the Army Farm of security force Jaffna to expedite the production of organic fertilizer was launched by the Commander Security Force Jaffna by Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu on 18 July 2021.

This machine was named as “AGRI SHREDDER PP1" and is capable of pulverizing tree branches into 10 mm particles. Further it has the pulverizing capacity of 3.5 metric tons per hour. Though the market price of this nature of a machine is Rs. 750,000.00 , it was able to manufacture locally with the technical assistance of the troops of 4 Sri Lanka Army Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (4 SLEME) and 5 Engineer Service Regiment ( 5 ESR) to the cost of around Rs.150,000.00. The machine was designed to the specification by the Lt Col PDLAC Sirisena RSP SLEME SO1 (Log) of SF HQ (J) under the close supervision of Commander Security Force Jaffna. During the launching ceremony, the commander Security Force Jaffna personally supervised the production process and gave the necessary instruction to the troops.

Divisional Commanders of 51, 52 and 55 Infantry Divisions, Commander Forward Maintenance Area (North), Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier Admin and Quartering, Brigade Commanders and Senior Officers of Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna were also witnessed the occasion.
