A shramadana campaign has been conducted to control Spread of Dengue and eradication of Parthenium plants in Jaffna on Monday 03 May 2021. This programme was launched on a concept of the Commander Security Force (Jaffna), Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu and with the guidance of General Officer Commanding of 52 Infantry Division, Brigadier Harendra Peiris RWP RSP USP ndu.
Further, this community-based project was carried out on the close supervision of the Commander 521 Infantry Brigade, Colonel Mahen Salwathura RWP RSP USP. During this programme, 8.5 km long Achchuvely - Palaly road were cleaned by the troops of 11th Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment. Resident of the respective areas and officials of Puttur Pradeshiya Sabha contributed to the effort.
