On the invitation of Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu, Commander Security Force Jaffna, the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc handed out repaired and refurbished vehicles for the use of Forward Maintenance Area (North) and battalions under command to the Security Force Headquarters Jaffna, on Monday, 12 April 2021.
Trucks, Tractors, Bicycles and Three-wheelers were repaired and refurbished by troops of 4 Sri Lanka Army Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (SLEME).The ceremony of vehicle awarding was followed a gifts awarding on the eve of Sinhala and Hindu New Year Festival to the Divisions, Brigades and Battalions.
General Officers Commanding 51, 52 and 55 Divisions, Commander Forward Maintenance Area North, Brigadier General Staff and Brigadier Admin and Quartering of Security Force Headquarters Jaffna, Brigade Commanders, Senior Staff Officers of Security Force Headquarters Jaffna, Commanding Officers, Officers and troops were also present.
