With the intension of strengthening reconciliation and civil military coordination in Jaffna, 6 month Tamil Sign Language Course was conducted for the Tamil students and government officials at Harmony Centre, Kankesanthurei.
The Commander Security Force Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu participated the ceremony as Chief Guest together with Miss. Nagendram Vijitha-Director of Vithu Trust Fund. Certificate Awarding Ceremony took place at the Thalsevana Army Holiday Resort and successfully completed 21 participants including Tamil students and government officials received their certificates on 8 April 2021 and this was followed a series of cultural events performed civil and military personnel which beautified the ceremony.
Commander Security Force awarded the certificates and addressed the ceremony. During the speech, Major General Priyantha Perera emphasized the significance of conducting such course for strengthening the reconciliation and harmony among communities. Further, he commended the student’s performance, commitment and dedication of the staff of the Harmony Centre.
General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division, Commander of 515 Infantry Brigade, Senior Officers, Government Officials and Troops of the Security Force Jaffna were also present during this ceremony.
