His Excellency David McKinnon, High Commissioner of Canada in Sri Lanka, together with Mr. Ponnuthurai Gobinath, political officer of the Canadian High Commission visited the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna on Friday 26 March 2021 and the visiting officials were warmly welcomed by the Commander Security Force – Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu.
During the cordial meeting at commander’s office, David McKinnon exchanged views with the Commander on several matters of mutual interest and concern.
Commander, Security Force – Jaffna conducted a comprehensive and enlightening briefing on matters pertaining to the Civil - Military Coordination and Reconciliation Process, in Jaffna peninsula. Further, mattes on uplifting of living standard of the under priviledge families and people of Jaffna, prevention and control of Covid-19 in the Jaffna and cultural affairs among people were discussed.
At the end of the meeting, mementos were exchanged to mark the significance of the occasion between Commander Security Force – Jaffna and High Commissioner of Canada.
Brigadier General Staff, Colonel General Staff and Senior Officers of Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna were also participated.
