Commander Security Force (Jaffna) and District Coordinator - Covid -19 Control and Prevention in Jaffna, Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu together with Government Agent Jaffna, Mr. K Maheshan presided an official meeting with the health sector officials and authorities of Jaffna University on Wednesday, 03 February 2021 at the Government Agent’s Office Jaffna.
In light of recent Covid - 19 detection in Jaffna University, the discussion mainly focused on Covid - 19 prevention and control measures to be initiated in Jaffna peninsula. During the discussion few important decisions were taken with special reference to control spreading of Covid - 19 among university students and civil community.
Security Force Commander emphasized the significance of distance learning and proposed university authorities to implement online education and e-library system for the benefit of university students.
General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division, Commander 512 Infantry Brigade, Regional Director of Health Services, Deputy Regional Director of Health Services, Medical Officer of Health, Registrar, hostel in-charge and few other staff of University of Jaffna attended the discussion.
