Frontline Health Force of Security Force Jaffna Receives First dose of 'Covishield'

First group of frontline health force of Security Force (Jaffna) was jabbed with the first dose of Covishield vaccine at the Army Base Hospital, Vasavilan on Saturday, 30 January 2021. This will boost the confidence of the front liners who are engaged in fighting against spread of COVID - 19 in Jaffna peninsula. On the directions and guidance of Commander Security Force (Jaffna) Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu, all necessary actions were initiated to jab the first dosage to front liners within five days.

Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID - 19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), Chief of the Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc, during his visit to Jaffna peninsula, made his presence on the occasion of vaccination programme.
