Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID - 19 Outbreak (NOCPCO),Chief of the Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc inspected the preparation of the Quarantine Centre at Vasavilan on Saturday, 30 January 2021. The Quarantine Centre which was renovated by the troops of 52 Infantry Division, under the guidance of Commander Security Force (Jaffna), Major General Priyantha Perera RWP RSP ndu, has the capacity of accommodating 500 personnel at any given time.
Commander - 521 Infantry Brigade who administrates the Quarantine Centre conducted a comprehensive briefing to the Commander of the Army during his inspection. Further, this centre is provided with essentials including washing machine, Wi-Fi and satellite TV facilities.
Chief of Staff Sri Lanka Army, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), General Officer Commanding - 52 Division and other Senior Officers accompanied the Commander of the Army during the inspection.
