The presidential secretariat on the recommendations of General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Sir Lanka Army, appointed 25 Senior Army Officers to coordinate the Covid - 19 control operations in each district with effect from 01 January 2021.
Major General Senarath Bandara Commander Security Forces Jaffna who was appointed as the Chief Coordinator in Jaffna District presided a coordinating conference on Covid – 19 control operations in Jaffna District on 07 January 2021 at the Government Agent’s Office Jaffna.
District Secretary, Deputy Inspector General of Police Jaffna, General Officers Commanding 51, 52 and 55 Infantry Divisions, Divisional Secretaries, Senior Tri–Forces Officers, Director – Health Services Jaffna, Several heads of the Health Services, Public Health Inspectors and Government Officials were attended the Conference.
