In coincide with the Sri Lanka Army 71st Anniversary, 522 Infantry Brigade launched a beach cleaning programme on 06 October 2020 along Kilaly lagoon coastal belt from Kachchai to Kilaly in Jaffna District.
The programme was organized by the 522 Infantry Brigade on the direction of 52 Infantry Division The fishing communities and large number of civilians, Grama Niladari and Health Department Officials also extended their support by joining hands with Army to make this event successful.
Brigadier Kithsiri Liyanage, General Officer Commanding of 52 Division, Brigadier Janaka Wijayasiri Commander 522 Brigade, Major Samantha Fernando Commanding Officer 7(V) Gajaba Regiment, Mrs. Usha Subalingam Divisional Secretariat of Chawakachcheri, Mr, Arul Kumaran Public Health Inspector of Kodikamam, Mr, Janagan Grama Niladari of Kachchi, Senior Officers,Officers and Troops associated together in the programme.
