Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc Commander of the Army took part as the Chief Guest at the donation programme held at the Security Forces Headquarters and donated bicycles for needy students, and also distributed plants (Coconut, Jack, Mango and Orange) for their families in order to encourage the Sri Lanka Army's Tree Planting Project in Jaffna peninsula.The event was held at Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) on Saturday 21st September 2019.
Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya, Division Commanders, All Brigade Commanders, Senior Army Officers, Officers, Troops, Students and Parents were present at the event.
