As another phase of the ongoing efforts to support the community in Kilinochchi, 551 Infantry Brigade has completed a Water Project at St. Fatima Roman Catholic School and new house for a deserving woman headed family with the generous patronages of philanthropists’ assistance.
Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) was symbolically handed over water project and house for beneficiaries during a ceremony held on 02 April 2024.
The water project was constructed by troops of 11th(V) Gajaba Regiment and House was constructed by troops of 7th Sri Lanka Light Infantry Battalion under the direction and supervision of Major General RKNC Jayawardena RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division and Colonel DKCL Perera RWP USP psc, Commander 551 Infantry Brigade.
Brigadier KJNMPK Nawarathna RWP RSP ndu, Brigadier General Staff of Security Forces (Jaffna), Mr. S Mularitharan, Additional District Secretary of Kilinochchi, Rev. Sister Nirmala Wasanthan, Principal of St. Fatima Roman Catholic School, Brigade Commanders of 551, 552, and 553 Infantry Brigades, Students and local community attended for ceremonies.
