H.E. Ambassador for the United State of America in Sri Lanka, Mrs Julie J Chung extended a courtesy call on the Commander Security Forces, Jaffna Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu at the Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) during her official visit to Jaffna peninsula on 24 April 2022.
H.E. Ambassador and her delegation was warmly welcomed by the Jaffna Commander. The delegation discussed on current Army engagements and its commitment to wellbeing of the people, promotion of Peace and Reconciliation in the Jaffna peninsula with special focus on reconciliation moves in order to upgrade the civil-military development programmes. Visiting Ambassador left her compliments in the visitors’ book and made a special note, appreciating the Jaffna troops for their sheer Commitment and dedication towards strengthening the peace, Democracy & Justice among Jaffna people.
The Security Forces Commander and H.E. Ambassador exchange mementoes for further strengthening of goodwill and cooperation. Brigadier General Staff of also associated during the meeting.
