A friendly cricket match, organized by the Security Forces (Jaffna) as per the concept of Major General Swarna Bothota, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) was held on 26th March 2023 at Jaffna Central College between the Sri Lanka Army Cricket Team and the District Cricket Team – Jaffna.
The match witnessed by a large gathering of the youth and the District Cricket Team – Jaffna had a close tussle and finally gave the win to the Army Cricket Team amid roars of cheers and applause.
Major General Vajira Welagedara, General Officer Commanding, 51 Infantry Division, Brigadier General Staff, Brigadier Dhammika Karunapala, Mr. Nishanthan, the President of Jaffna District Cricket Association joined the awarding ceremony. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, Officers of Jaffna District Cricket Association and civilians of the area were also witnessed the match.
