Due to the rapid transmission of dengue fever in Jaffna peninsula, Army troops launched several dengue eradication programmes in order to prevent the spread of dengue mosquitoes. In an effort to speed up the said dengue eradication projects, Troops of 11 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment also conducted a dengue eradication programme at Udayasooriyanpark, Valvettituraion with the participation of Officers and Other Ranks on 21st October 2023.
The engagement of troops in dengue prevention programmes is a commendable move that deserve recognition.
