To coincide with the “International Children’s Day”, the troops of 523 Infantry Brigade organized an educational tour of Colombo for the students of Lakdaru Preschool at Navatkuli Sinhala Village in Jaffna on 29th and 30th September 2023.
Traveling by train to Colombo was a new experience for the children and Sri Lanka Army arranged a bus to travel around the capital city where the students were able to visit Water World Keleniya and Lotus Tower Colombo. During the journey students were provided with a packet of sweets gifted by General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division. The students and parents who joined the tour were offered with free meals and beverages by the Officers and Other Ranks of 11 field Sri Lanka Engineers.
This tour, organized with the blessings of the Commander Security Forces Jaffna and the conceptual guidance of General Officer Commanding, 52 Infantry Division; under the supervision of Brigade Commander, 523 Infantry Brigade, was highly appreciated by the teachers and parents.
