In line with the 75th Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Army, 552 Infantry Brigade conducted a blood donation campaign under the visionary leadership of Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, Commander Security Force - Jaffna, and the guidance of Major General RKNC Jayawardena RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division on 02 October 2024.
The campaign was organized under the supervision of Colonel CD Welagedara USP IG, Commander 552 Infantry Brigade by the troops of 22 VIR and 2 SLNG in collaboration with Blood Bank of the General Hospital, Jaffna at the Base Hospital, Poonaryn.
A total of 40 military personnel and 04 civilians representing 552 Infantry Brigade, 22 VIR, 2 SLNG and villagers donated their blood to restock the much needed blood requirement in the area.
