The Chief Kurukkal of the Kandasami Kovil in Kilinochchi made a request from the General Officer Commanding of 55 Infantry Division for cleaning and beautifying the Kovil premises before beginning of the month long festival.
As per the instructions of General Officer Commanding, Division Headquarters allocated 40 troops for the cleaning and beautification activities and conducted a sramadana on 08 July 2024. This was amply facilitated natives to celebrate religious ceremony to mark the ‘Kumbabhishakam festival 2024’ which is celebrated once in 12 years.
The Chief Kurakkal of the Kovil handed over a letter of appreciation in Sinhala language by thanking for the support extended.
