The troops of 522 Infantry Brigade under 52 Infantry Division extended their fullest support to conduct the annual feast at St Mary’s Church in Kaddeikadu on 15thAugust 2023.
Before the feast, troops decorated the church premises. Considering the excessive heat conditions in the area the devotees were facilitated with drinking water and temporary shades by the brigade troops.
With the intention of maintaining cordial relations with the community in the area, assistance to the church was coordinated by Major General YABM Yahampath RWP RSP ndu psc, General Officer Commanding 52 Infantry Division with the blessings of the Security Force Commander Jaffna Major General SRK Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc
Commander 522 Infantry Brigade, Brigadier LKT Fernando RSP USP participated as the Chief Guest. Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks and a large number of civilians took part in the feast.
