Troops of the 513 and 515 Infantry Brigades under the 51 Infantry Division conducted 'Shramadana' Cleaning campaigns to keep the areas to free from dengue mosquitoes at two Kovil premises in the Jaffna peninsula on 08 and 10 July 2021.
This 'Shramadana' campaign was conducted under instructions and guidance of General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division Major General Deepal Pussella and during the campaign, areas were cleaned at Vairawa Kovil premises. Kareinagar and Muththumary Amman Kovil premises, Thudumbasetthi. Further, this programme was closely supervised by Brigadier Mohomed Fariz - Commander 513 Brigade and Brigadier Palitha Godellawaththa - Commander 515 Brigade in their respective Ares.
Troops of the 11th Battalion of Sri Lanka Light Infantry, and 2nd Battalion of Gemunu Watch involved with this 'Shramadana' programme respectively under the strict health guidelines stipulated by the Army Headquarters.
