In line with the program to commemorate the Sri Lankans who sacrificed their lives for the peace of the motherland, a tree planting program was conducled in Kallaru Chundikulam Reserved Forest on 17th June 2025, with the participation troop of 6 SLSR and 14 SLNG. On this occasion, Commander 553 Infantry Brigade Colonel Parbath Muthunayaka, Representative Of Divisional Secretary – Kandawali, Principal, teachers and students of Kallaru Maha Vidyalaya, GS- Punnaniravi, Tamil priest and Villagers were participated. Through this event 400 trees were planted covering the area of 1.5 hectares. Trees were provided the Forest Conservation office – Kilinochchi.
