On the request extended by members of "Star Sports Club" - KKS, Army troops launched another social welfare project of reconstructing the play ground which is located at Thaiddi village in J/250 Grama Seva Division under the Thellipalei Divisional Secretariat on 18 May 2022. This project was initiated under the guidance and supervision of Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa RWP RSP ndu, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna).
During this project, army troops provide man power and technical assistance to reconstruct the play ground whereas man power assistance endow by the members of the Star Sports Club towards the army troops during the construction was unique. Approximately 200 people were participated tor the inauguration of this project. The main objective of this project was to bestow an opportunity to improve sports skills and maintain physically and mentally robustness of the youth and produce self - discipline people to the society. Further, Security Forces Commander donated sports items to the Star Sports Club to mark this event.
Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Grama Niladari, Development officer of the Thellippalei DS Division, present staff officers and the members of the Star Sports Club and their former members presented during the event.
