In alignment with the vision of the General Officer Commanding 51 Infantry Division, Major General MPNA Muthumala USP psc, a special community welfare initiative was conducted on 27th July 2025 at Mother Teresa Elders' Home - Irupalai, Kopay, St. Lucas Methodist Elders’ Home – Puttur, and Udaya Surian Pre-School – Selvapuram, Urumpirai.
With the generous financial support of Major General (Retd) Ravi Rathnasingham, this programme provided alms-giving and essential items to a total of 100 beneficiaries including senior citizens and children. The event was a heart-warming gesture demonstrating the Sri Lanka Army’s deep commitment to social responsibility and community engagement.
The General Officer Commanding, Major General MPNA Muthumala USP psc, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest, accompanied by the Commander 511 Infantry Brigade and other senior officers.
