Tharmapuram No. 1 Government Tamil Mix School was bathed in the spirit of generosity on 23 November 2023, as the 553 Infantry Brigade orchestrated a grand book donation programme followed by the distribution of fertilizer and saplings. The occasion was not only a boon for academic endeavours but also a celebration of sportsmanship. Major General Sujeewa Hettiarachchi RWP RSP VSV USP ndu psc, the esteemed Commander of the Security Forces Jaffna, graced the event as the chief guest who envisioned and executed this unprecedented initiative. Two hundred students, drawn from the sports teams of surrounding schools, gained the benefits of this thoughtful event, marking a significant chapter in their educational journey.
