The 51 Infantry Division of the Sri Lanka Army, currently deployed in Kopay and are engaging in both CIMIC (Civil-Military Cooperation) and operational duties in the Jaffna area. On 2nd September 2025, organized a community outreach event to parallel with its 30th Anniversary. Under the visionary leadership of Major General MPNA Muthumala USP psc, the General Officer Commanding, 51 Infantry Division conducted a special programme at the CIMIC Park premises, Headquarters 51 Infantry Division, where evening snacks were distributed for 100 children in surrounding villages. This initiative reflected the Division's continued commitment to fostering positive civil-military relations and strengthening its collaborative engagement with local communities, thereby enhancing mutual trust and goodwill in the region.
