In a gesture of humanity and compassion towards hundreds of men, women and children that periled due to natural disasters and unforeseen occurrences in the country and across the world, and also to invoke blessings to all Sri Lankans and people of the world in the new year 2020, Headquarters Security Forces Jaffna organized a series of special Bodhi Pooja 14 January evening.
Following the directives of Acting Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva WWV RWP RSP VSV USP ndc psc and with guidance of Commander Security Forces - Jaffna Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya, Bodhi Pooja was organized at the Sri Naga Vihara, Navatkuly temple and the Headquarters 55 Division, Kaddaikadu.
All Sri Lankans and people of other countries, who fell victim to various calamitous, and especially the citizens in Australia devastated by hazardous wildfire were invoked blessing in this religious events.
General Officers Commanding 55 and 51 Divisions, Senior officers, Officers and other ranks serving in respective Headquarters and formations attended the Bodhi Pooja.
