Security Forces (Jaffna) organized an educational session aimed to groom children and elders living in Selvapuram and Yogapuram villages with the interaction of Dr, S.J. Arasakesary, Senior Lecturer, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Jaffna and Mrs. Arasakesary at CIMIC Park of 51 Infantry Division on 02 April 2024.
It was an invaluable opportunity for those children and villages to motivate themselves, also to upgrade their existing knowledge on history of Jaffna, importance of education, role of parents in grooming their children, challenges faced by professor during his tour of studies etc… The session was conducted in a simple manner so as to match the standard of the villagers.
At the end, Jaffna Commander donated a bicycle to a child of low-income family who is having extra talent of dancing in order to encourage her education.
Major General MGWWWMCB Wickramasinghe RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Major General SWB Welagedara RSP VSV USP ndc, General Officer Commanding of 51 Infantry Division, Offices, soldiers and approximately 400 villagers attended this invaluable education session.
