Security Forces Jaffna Commemorates 26th Anniversary

The Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna proudly celebrated its 26th Anniversary on 19 June 2022 marking yet another milestone. In celebration of the Anniversary, a series of programmes were organized with the participation and the directions of the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) Major General Chandana Wijayasundara RSP USP ndu.

In line with the celebration of 26th anniversary day, troops of Security Forces Headquarters (Jaffna) and its affiliated battalions were addressed by the Commander Security Forces Jaffna on 18th June. During the address, Commander recalled the vital occurrences of the history of SF (J) and commended the commitments and dedication of troops. Further, he emphasized the importance of maintaining the prevailing peaceful environment in Jaffna peninsula and highlighted the proper keep up of disciplines of soldiers and improving of soldier’s welfare.

In accordance with military traditions, the Commander Security Forces (Jaffna) Major General Chandana Wijayasundara RSP USP ndu graced the Anniversary day’s celebrations on 19th June and on his arrival at the venue reviewed the Guard Turn Out, received the salute of the Guard of Honour, presented by troops of 11th Battalion Sri Lanka Light Infantry and it was followed by the group photograph.

To coincide with the anniversary day, Commander Security Forces (Jaffna), Senior Officers, Officers and other ranks attended to the all ranks lunch at ORs’ mess and it marked the anniversary day’s proceedings.
